Applies to every venue with gaming machines
Social concept for hospitality: mandatory as soon as gaming machines are installed
If your pub or restaurant hosts gaming machines, the same player-protection duties apply as for gaming halls: social concept, OASIS exclusion checks, documentation. Ardanto turns them into a digital routine alongside your day-to-day business — no paper, no extra staff.
Request a quoteWhy does the duty apply to hospitality?
The 2021 State Treaty on Gambling makes no distinction between a gaming hall and a pub: whoever offers gambling needs a social concept under § 6 GlüStV and must check the central OASIS exclusion register before play. This also applies when the machines are operated by a machine operator — the in-venue duties stay with the running business. Hospitality rarely has spare time for this — which is exactly where the electronic social concept comes in.
Your duties at a glance
Maintain and implement a social concept
A social concept tailored to your venue — not just as a document, but with provable day-to-day implementation.
OASIS exclusion check before play
Every guest is checked against the exclusion register before play — with the OASIS app right on a smartphone, in seconds and documented automatically.
Age and youth-protection checks
No play under 18 — checks are recorded in the app and provable at any time.
Raise staff awareness
Service staff must know the basics of player protection too. The app reminds you of training and collects the certificates.
How it works with Ardanto
We create your social concept and set up the OASIS app for your venue. Your team documents on the side, on a phone; the social report for the authorities is generated automatically. If you run several venues or work with a machine operator, the admin cockpit keeps everything in view.
Frequently asked questions
I only have two gaming machines — does the duty still apply?
Yes. The duties under the 2021 State Treaty do not depend on the number of machines. A single installed gaming machine triggers social-concept, exclusion-check and documentation duties.
The machine operator takes care of the machines — isn't that enough?
The operator is responsible for the machines' technology and licensing, but the player-protection duties in daily operation — exclusion checks, age checks, documentation — rest with the venue. The easiest way is to fulfil both digitally, together.
How much effort is it day to day?
With the OASIS app, a few seconds per check: verify ID, run the query, done — documentation happens automatically. The social report is no longer compiled by hand but generated at the push of a button.
